Reggio Emilia Approach
The Reggio Emilia approach is an educational philosophy and pedagogy focused on preschool and elementary education.
The program is based on the principles of respect, responsibility and community through exploration, discovery and play.
Programs
At Rainbow, we believe that every child is unique, curious, and capable. Our educational approach is based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy, an approach that places the child at the center of learning, recognizing them as active protagonists in their own development. That is why we offer two main programs:
Preschool Program (Ages 2.9 - 4 )
At Rainbow, we offer a warm, stimulating, and carefully designed environment where children can explore, discover, create, and learn at their own pace. Through collaborative projects, sensory experiences, and a deep respect for their ideas, we encourage:

The Environment as the Third Teacher.
Our spaces are designed to inspire. Every corner invites exploration and play, becoming another teacher that guides learning from everyday life.
We also value and highlight the children's learning process through educational documentation, which allows us to reflect on, share, and delve deeper into each experience.
Pre - K Program (Ages 4 - 6)
In Rainbow Preschool's Pre-Kindergarten program, we create a space where children ages 4 to 6 can develop holistically, respecting their unique pace, interests, and talents.
Through experiential projects, free exploration, symbolic play, and sensory activities, children discover the world around them while developing cognitive, social, emotional, and motor skills.
At Rainbow, learning letters and numbers does not happen through repetition, but arises naturally within meaningful experiences:
• 📦 Sorting and counting games with natural and manipulative materials.
• ✉️ Letter recognition through proper names, stories, posters, and materials from the environment.
• 🧩 Sequence, pattern, and shape games that develop logical and mathematical thinking.
• 🎨 Art and emerging writing workshops, where children explore free drawing and written expression.
• 🗣️ Conversations and storytelling, which strengthen oral language and phonological awareness.
All of this happens without pressure, in an environment where mistakes are part of learning and where play is the engine of knowledge.
